Localscapes
If you are looking to improve functionality in your yard and improve water efficiency this is the class for you. This course will teach you how to apply basic principles to achieve all the benefits that a Localscaped yard provides. This class covers the five basic steps in detail. Within the 5 steps, you will learn landscape layout, irrigation basics, planting, creating functional lawn spaces and maintenance. The instruction will take 2 hours, followed by questions. Taught by District staff.
Landscape Design
This class will cover the elements of landscape design that can help you to have an attractive, functional and water-efficient yard. The class is not a workshop where you will be working on your own plans but will teach you some of the basic and important elements to consider when you are designing or re-designing a landscape area. This class will be taught by Zac Roberts, District staff.
Weber River Symposium
Weber River Partnership, a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization, proudly presents the annual Weber River Symposium on January 13, 2026, at the Weber State University Shepherd Union Ballroom. The symposium will feature engaging topics in Science, Wildlife, Agriculture, Land Use, Conservation, and Restoration.
