CONFLUENCE 2026: A WEBER RIVER SYMPOSIUM

Watershed Health Assessment

Weber River Partnership, a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization, proudly presents the annual Weber River Symposium on January 13, 2026, at the Weber State University Shepherd Union Ballroom. The symposium will feature engaging topics in Science, Wildlife, Agriculture, Land Use, Conservation, and Restoration. It offers an important opportunity to network with other stakeholders in the watershed and to foster community involvement. In addition to the usual daytime presentations and networking opportunities, this year we are adding a free evening segment with dinner, a poster session, and compelling public-facing presentations, to invite more university students and the general public to participate.

Why is it important? The Weber River watershed encompasses about 2,500 square miles and a population of over 750,000 people in Summit, Morgan, Weber, Box Elder, and Davis counties, Utah. The Weber River and its many tributaries support agricultural land, forest land, a wide variety of wildlife, including native and sensitive species, hydropower generation, and recreation. The Weber River supplies about 20% of Utah’s drinking and agricultural water and contributes 15%-25% of the water entering the Great Salt Lake.
